9:54 am I am trying to decide if I want to cut my bangs again, they are getting awfully long & maybe I should just let them grow out? IDK. New fox fur I got my hands on :) More photos of it on my flickr, it is easily the prettiest thing I own.

   MOZART!

20:03 pm I rarely do anything on Gears outside of Horde because I am too sorry a player to do multiplayer, but I tried public Annex for the first time yesterday and am IN LOVE. I have literally never had so much fun in a game - mind you I am still bottom of the list every game I play but I figure with time I will get better :) And until then I will just cuss a whole lot every game I play.

I was reading up on GOW3 news & the GOW film news - apparently the next game is going to be semi rpg & follow after games like bioshock with upgrading items etc which BLOWS FUCK. I think, if GOW changed their scheme, they should focus on being able to do more in game with what you have and your character and not follow after every other dicknut game with the annoying upgrading scheme (if not just because it's annoying, but also because it would make online play fucking stupid). I wish they had something where you could roadie run into an enemy and tackle them, or shoot grenades in people's hands, or do something with a partner as far as shooting and cover works.

I also read, my brothers, that they want kate beckinsale to play maria santiago in the film. LOL, a whiter ass bitch they couldn't find.

7:51 am I have a dress and skirt in the shop. I am so madly in love with the dress, my aunt helped me with it - was thinking of a winter lolita dress? Don't know if it translates, but I love everything about it; if I didnt need money there is no way in hell I'd sell it :/ Oh well.

The dress doesn't pull at the bust like the photos show as long as you dont exceed the max bust I have listed on etsy - my problem here was that I had, uh, a bra, undershirt, and tshirt on underneath because I was being lazy and didnt want to change & I had it tied in the back tighter than it needed to be because the measurements of the dress are larger than I am, and if I dont over-tie it the dress looks frumpy when I wear it. I am trying to make my clothes more forgiving and able to fit a wider range, that's been the one complaint I get in emails about the stuff I make and sell on Etsy.

Look at that cabbage rose & plaid print though, you cant find prettier fabric, I don't care!!!

inside panel of my dvd box set. it says "however vast the darkness, we must supply our own light." it is film coming out of a vhs. i hope kubrick isn't rolling over in his grave after me having done this. it took 4 hours! the milk went sour.

details: typewriter for the shining, glass of milk for a clockwork orange, bullets for full metal jacket. not that you can see any of these, but they're there.

13:52 pm "Let's try something else..... Let's play a game. Based on something I said in the big 3,000 post. I said that I am hard-pressed to think of films where there wasn't at least one thing I thought was cool, or funny, or likable, in one form or another. Aside from the Transformers films and Blankman, which I drew an actual blank on.

So.

Name a movie. A movie you're fairly certain I've seen. If I haven't seen it, you go again.

If you name something I like, well, great. I'll let you know that I liked it or loved it. And you can keep guessing, if you feel like it.

If you name something you didn't think I liked, I'll give you something I liked about it. Like with Congo. The movie was drivel, poop, snot. But I liked Bruce Campbell, and I liked Ernie Hudson's character, and I liked the laser that cut evil super-apes in half.

The two Transformers films and Blankman are already disqualified, but you are encouraged to come up with as many as you'd like. The idea of the game is to come up with a movie within which I could find no redeeming qualities. I'm proving to myself I haven't sunk into the technicolor wasteland of my own head yet, where everything is fixed and immutable based on the idea that once I've made my mind up about something, it takes too much effort on the parts of both others and myself to change it. Which, again, my overall problem with absolutes.

'Kay? Hit me.

11:31 am

we flew over a continent and an ocean. over alaska and northern siberia. as we were gliding over the clouds, i wondered about the icy mountains below and the snow covered world. i imagined a world of glittering crystal and cold, blue waters. of talking bears and caribou-people. i imagined the mountain tops reaching high in the sky and hitting us. and as we were crashing and sliding down into a winter-world, i wondered if we would have to eat each other to survive.

they took my bunny at the airport. they kept her for a few days, and my heart ached to see her go. i knew she was scared and angry from the trip over the world. rabbits are not meant to fly, they are ground creatures, and like the constant smell of the earth to fill them. i wish i could have given her wings and taught her how to fly so that she wouldn't have had to be so scared and lonely in the cargo of a machine too loud for her soft ears. i can't wait to go and pick her up on the weekend, so i can bring her home and tell her everything is alright. so we can play and run and hide and seek and cuddle, until all traces of these events are gone. fortunately, bunnies have very small memories as they have very small brains.

jet lag and tired. but home and happy. we have a nice apartment full of light and decorated with big (ugly but) cheery bright pink flowers on the walls and drapes. we have a pink, minuscule bathtub, and an eeyore-plush to keep us company. big windows and lots of light.

i like the sound of korean, and the food. the school seems nice. i have books, and the internet, and pencils, and papers. and i have my sleepybear. if i can catch some sleep, i will be a very happy girl.

xx

15:56 pm "Pfeh..... If I want spreadable Branston shipped to my house, it'll cost me.

How much?

Well, the actual squeezy bottle ranges anywhere from 2.41 pounds Sterling (about $3.71) to $4.15 in straight US dollars. The small chunk jars run for about the same, and weigh more.

That's not so bad.

However, shipping from British Corner Shop is 20.99 PS ($34.34!!)
Shipping from British Supermarket Worldwide is 20.05 PS ($32.80!!)
The Curiosity Shop won't calculate my shipping until after I've signed up with them and "proceeded to checkout."
The South Africa Food Shop sells it at $6.99 a jar, plus $7.99 S&H.

And Amazon ships it. $5.99 for the jar, $3.95 S&H. So, ten bucks.

I think I may have to go with Amazon. It's not small chunk (which I was itching hard to try), but Branston Original is better than Branston Nonexistent.

Photobucket

Illustrated thusly and sadly.

You will be mine again, Branston Pickle. Your little brother might've gotten away, but you are still within my sights. You're like...Soliel Moon Frye in Pumpkinhead 2: Blood Wings...you don't exactly seem necessary, but you're the biggest marquee name in my fridge.
And I want you back.

12:51 pm "Bebop Notes..... The ending to Pierrot Le Fou is still one of the saddest, most unnerving endings to an anime episode I've yet seen.

And somewhat fitting viewing for today, seeing how it's El Día de los Muertos.

Maybe. I dunno. I have to do a lot of cleaning today.

Not to mention ordering spreadable Branston online. It seems odd, having relish in a squeeze bottle shipped to my house. But LORDY, is it worth it.

Actual update (of sorts) to follow.
